DALI'S PAINTINGS
BLUE SHOP AND OLD BICYCLE
The town is full of nice surprises like this old bicycle and the box of painter's brushes and small boutiques with art galleries...
STREETS OF CADAQUÉS
Inside the old part of town the street are very narrow and covered with stones. The old town is full of little boutiques and restaurants. For the best restaurants it is good to ask from the locals for some recommendations.
CADAQUÉS
Cadaqués is a small town on Costa Brava quite close to the Spanish-French border. This time of the year the town was fairly calm, still quite a lot of tourist and day visitors and most of them for one specific reason. Salvador Dali. He was born in 1904 in Figueres a town near by Cadaqués and from 1930 he moved in to a small fisherman's cottage in Portlligat just one kilometer from Cadaqués by foot.
GETTING COLDER IN ANDORRA
On monday when the weather in Andorra wasn't so nice and the weather was getting cooler anyway, specially in the mornings, I suggested to my husband that we should go to Spain for some sun shine... The evening before we had have our neighbour sitting in our house with us drinking some wine and we have talked about Girona area and Costa Brava. So monday afternoon we booked a hotel in a small town of Cadaqués on the Costa Brava on the north part of Mediterranean Spain... And Tuesday afternoon after few hours driving from Andorra to Mediterranea we arrived here...
