CREATIVE FUN WITH BEADS...

New version of my old bracelets... I bought these ones last summer and I have been waring them quite a lot, so some bead got damages and the elastic lost it elasticity. So I took everything a part and made new ones by adding few new beads from my bead boxes that I showed on the previous posting...

At the bead or craft shops you can find all kind of nice beads plus these flower shaped metal parts that you can add on each side of your beads, they will make the bead look nicer and also they will hide the big holes that some beads has. This 1 mm thick elastic is excellent for the bracelets, if you have thinner ones make then a double string with it.

...And these are the results of a creative afternoon... I can ware this mixing colors or just separately by one colors...Nice accessories for many occasion...

BEADS... AND MORE BEADS

Few days ago I found these nice wooden boxes in an art shop and they were ideal for all my beads that I had been keeping in a simply plastic containers. These boxes can actually be on the top of the table as a decoration. I think they would even look nicer if I will paint them with a nice colour.

DETAILS OF THE GUEST BEDROOM

The bed, the bedlinen and the curtain fabric are from Ikea. The bed has four big drawers for storage witch is always welcome, the side tables are from Ikea too...The frames I made myself using an african pattern fabric and I have add beaded table sets and glass coasters on the fabric by sewing them by hand...The fabric was first fixed by stables on the Ikea frame and after that I sewed the bead table mats on it, the fabric has to be very tight that it can support the weight of the beaded table set... In these frames I have added an extra layer of plain cotton fabric under the african fabric that gives more support and it hides the see through effect that some fabrics can have... I have paint a half cercle behind the bed...
There is still my main bedroom that I haven't show to you but there is a reason for that... so you have to wait until the 7th of Jan...

MY BEDROOM

Our main bedroom in the chalet is "en suite" with the bathroom and the colours that I have use for the decoration in  the whole area are brown, turquoise and white... Most of the wood is birch wood which makes the bedroom side very light... The bathroom can be seen in the summer posting earlier this year, it has some nice details as well...

BED LINEN

Today is the shortest day of the year, the winter solstice, it is 10.18 a.m. and the sun has just come up behind the forest... These winter periods, when the days are short and it feels like the night never ends, specially here in Finland and other northern part of the globe. The Bedroom has even a more important meaning this time of the year, warmer duvets and good bed linen are important for these frosty nights... My duvet cover and pillow cases are from South Africa and all the cushion covers were made by me. Here some bead details from the double cushion that can be folded behind the back while I read in the bed...
