SOUTH OF SPAIN, GO ON HOLIDAY

It has been quite a long time since my last posting but there is a good reason for that. I was in the 10 days seminar in Los Romanes a small village about 40min from the Malaga airport. It is an old rustic village that has been carefully restaured back to it's beauty. During year the owner has put lots of efford to these buildings with a help of some skilled people... We had the whole village for our groupe but you can rent a individual house for your family or friends and browse the Andalusian country side. The mountains offers you hot springs that I would one day like to experience in that natural beauty. The village is surrounded by olive farms and you are surrounded by nature even the small village or restaurants are not too far... An excellent get away for a week or even for a long weekend. Just enjoy all the photos I had taken while staying there...

I was told that, years ago all the buildings looked like this, but you can see the owner has put lots of effort to this place but he has added plenty things from his soul too...

MORE OPEN SHELVE SPACE IN MY KITCHEN

Look at this kitchen cupboard, huge space inside but narrow door and so stupidly planned, ok I didn't do that. So we really never use this space, I used to store things in that I didn't need. So I really needed to something to turn in a nice space of storage, which would look good too...

So this is the result after taking off the doors and adjusting the shelves in the right hight. And what was the nices now I can expose my ceramic that I made in South Africa.

STORAGE CABINET

Next to the sofa we have a storage cabinet that takes all our DVD's, CD's and photo albums, on the top with the 3 table lamps there are 3 Rosenthals ceramic "paper bags" and Iittala's Kivi tea light holders.

CERAMIC TEA SET

This black and white tea set was made by me in South Africa, I had an atelier in Cape Town and before that in France...

BOWLS

These two bowls were hand made by me in France.

MY OTHER WORK ROOM

When we move in to this house in January this year this room became my son's Oscars room and we still called it like that even he has left us for his studies in Scotland. The three clocks and the wallpaper on the wall reminds about all the other places in the world...
