...AND WHAT A VIEW...
Vallnord ski centre is family orientated and has skiing school facilities for everyone. Further up the view is stunning and you can see the Spanish border. At the top part you also see the whole of Andorra.

EASY WAY TO CLEAN SILVER
The other day I heard somewhere a new way to clean the silver spoons or other silver items... Easy and eco friendly and not toxic for your health. You only need aluminium wrap, salt and hot water... If you have a small sink it will be the best or otherwise take a metal bowl, something which is big enough for your items that you want to get cleaned. The bowl has to resist boiling water, so no plastic containers...
First put one or two layers of aluminium wrap on the bottom and on the sides of you sink or bowl, then add few spoonfuls of salt. After that, put your items on the top of the salt like my spoons in the picture, them pore the boiling water over until your silver is completly covered. Try to mix the salt and the water with a help of an kitchen ustencil, don't burn yourself... Let it cool down and take a soft cloth and dry your silver carefully. If your silver was very dark it might need an other salt bath before you get it really shiny... Cheap, easy and eco friendly...

DETAILS OF THE GUEST BEDROOM
The bed, the bedlinen and the curtain fabric are from Ikea. The bed has four big drawers for storage witch is always welcome, the side tables are from Ikea too...The frames I made myself using an african pattern fabric and I have add beaded table sets and glass coasters on the fabric by sewing them by hand...The fabric was first fixed by stables on the Ikea frame and after that I sewed the bead table mats on it, the fabric has to be very tight that it can support the weight of the beaded table set... In these frames I have added an extra layer of plain cotton fabric under the african fabric that gives more support and it hides the see through effect that some fabrics can have... I have paint a half cercle behind the bed...
There is still my main bedroom that I haven't show to you but there is a reason for that... so you have to wait until the 7th of Jan...

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010!!!
Happy New Year 2010 to everybody and thank you so much for following, commenting and visiting my blog... I am so grateful to all of you... I wish all the best for everybody... Year 2010 will be full of new postings of life, travelling, decoration, wine and food, but also I wish you will follow my other blog http://www.africanride.blogspot.com/. It is about 12000km cycling race that my husband will start the 16th of January and it will take 4 month to complete it. The race will be from Cairo to Cape Town and on the way they will do charity work...So if you wish to participate by donating a bike for the health care organizations, you can still do it and every cent goes to the bike...1 bike = 100 euros, you can donate even less and we can make up one bike by putting together all the smaller donations. You can find the blog also on the left side of my blog...
